Someone Told Me There Isn't A dumb Question!

I have been told I'm to windy. To friendly and I get off topic all the time. Not here on CHF, but on other forums. I plead guilty on all accounts. I'm in the chat section, so I guessing I'm good to go. I register on help forums to learn and help with my very limited PC knowledge. I'm surfing the forum and I find this section "Microsoft Windows" With two sections.
When I click on the author of a thread there, usually "guest", a profile does not opened up. Why is that? Should I not comment on...
